Will your stuff
run on Linux?

Paste what's on your machine. Get a straight answer for each item: runs, finicky or won't, with what to use instead.

Scope: a hand-curated list of common hardware and apps, not every product. Unrecognised lines are listed, not rated.

Free: 1 scan with fix steps. Then £5.00 once, unlimited. The sample is free.

FAQ

What does it do?

You paste a list of your hardware and installed software. For each item it says whether it runs on Linux, is finicky, or will not run, and suggests what to use instead.

Is my data uploaded?

No. What you paste is checked in your browser and is not sent anywhere. The page also loads a small shared script that keeps an anonymous count of page views and free uses, plus anonymous error reports. Payment is handled by Stripe, on Stripe's own page, when you choose to pay.

What does it cost?

Free try: one full scan, fix steps included. Unlock for £5.00, once, for unlimited scans and a downloadable Markdown report.

Refunds?

Digital goods: access starts straight away, so the 14-day cancellation right ends once you start using it. If something is broken, email business@thatched.ai.

Which browsers and devices?

Any recent browser on a computer. You run a short command on your own machine (Windows, macOS or Linux) and paste the result, so a phone is awkward. The ratings are a hand-made list, so check your exact model.

Ratings come from a hand-curated list and reflect typical current distros (2026). Always confirm on your exact model — see ProtonDB, linux-hardware.org and AlternativeTo. Everything stays in this page.
